Comments
The deposits comprise unconsolidated gypsum crystals in beds up to 2m thick within sediments of probable Tertiary age.  The gypsum is 
exposed over a wide area in small gullies and on the edges of incised plateaux.  The gypsum is suitable for agricultural
use. The origin of the gypsum is unclear, but it was probably the remnants of a shallow salt lake formed in the Tertiary on the Cretaceous 
Winton Formation.
