Geology
German Creek Formation of Late Permian age, in several fault
bounded generally gently dipping blocks with variable dip directions.
Mining Method The mine uses a dragline for overburden removal in the Gregory
open-cut mine. Coal from the associated Crinum Underground Mine,
which is located in the southern portion of the leases, is extracted by
longwall mining operations and processed through the Gregory wash
plant.
